– Después de una larga espera, FMW-E celebró su primer show la semana pasada ¿Cuáles son tus sensaciones después del debut de tu nuevo proyecto? ¿Cumplió con tus expectativas?
“No fue como yo esperaba, ¡terminó siendo una auténtica locura! A pesar de ello, creo que el caos terminó siendo algo maravilloso. Sin duda alguna fue un gran comienzo que demostró mi espíritu independiente”.
After all the anticipation, the very first show from FMW-E took place last week. What are your thoughts about this debut show ? Did it meet your expectations?
It didn’t go as expected. It was crazy! But I think its chaos was wonderful. I had a good start that showed my indie spirit.
– Fuera de FMW-E, sigues compitiendo con regularidad. Este verano, sin ir más lejos, te veremos en el gran evento de DDT ‘Wrestle Peter Pan’ desde el Kawasaki Stadium’, donde participarás en una lucha de explosivos. ¿Qué significan para ti este tipo de oportunidades para mostrarle a una mayor audiencia tu combate estrella en Japón?
“El antiguo Kawasaki Stadium era un lugar que significaba mucho tanto para FMW como para mí. En esta ocasión participaré junto a DDT Pro Wrestling (en una lucha por equipos), aunque espero que FMW-E pueda realizar eventos desde ese lugar por su propia cuenta”.
Outside FMW-E, you still have a career. This summer, for example, you will be participating in the big Wrestle Peter Pan show from DDT in Kawasaki Stadium, where you will have an explosion deathmatch. How do you feel about this opportunity to show a bigger audience in Japan your signature match?
The Old Kawasaki baseball stadium was a special place for me and FMW. This time, I will join in DDT show, but I hope FMWE will take place that place by itself someday.
– En Japón se ha discutido sobre la escasez de fluorescentes y la posibilidad de eliminarlos de los combates extremos ¿Crees que el estilo Deathmatch podrá evolucionar más allá de ellos?
“Nunca uso tubos fluorescentes en mis luchas, soy contrario a que mis fans respiren mercurio. El humo y las llamas de un Explosion Deathmatch son peligrosas y no me agradan, pero odio los fluorescentes porque parece que terminan provocando daños dentro de los aficionados.
¿Evolución en el Deathmatch? Es algo que depende de la época”.
Lately, there have been conversations in Japan about the lack of Lighttubes and the possibility of them not being used in Deathmatch anymore. Do you think that Deathmatch wrestling will be able to evolve even more? What do you think can be changed?
I don’t use fluorescent lights. I’m against fans smoking mercury. The smoke and flames of the explosion deathmatch are also dangerous, but I dislike the fluorescent lights because it seems to hurt the fan from the inside of their body.
Evolution of Deathmatch? It depends on the times.
– La leyenda de Atsushi Onita es famosa en todo el mundo, como bien demuestra tu gran fanaticada en la comunidad hispanohablante. ¿Qué mensaje quieres enviar a tus fans internacionales?
“Me encantaría llevar a FMW-E a España. Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que visité el país. ¿Hay alguien que quiera realizar un Explosion Deathmatch por allí? Si voy a España, por favor, invitadme a comer a un buen restaurante de paella, ¿vale?”.
The legend of Atsushi Onita is well known worldwide and you also have a great fanbase between the Spanish wrestling community. So, what is your message for all your loyal international fans?
